For a quick, easy snack or appetizer, nothing beats these jellies as a topping on a club cracker spread with cream cheese and on baked Brie, but if you feel a little creative, try these delicious, easy recipes and serving suggestions:
Burgundy Wine Jelly Recipes:
Spinach Salad Dressing Combine ½ cup Brimstone Originals® Burgundy Wine with 2 – 3 tablespoons each of red wine vinegar and olive oil. Stir in 1 teaspoon blended herbs and spices. Heat and pour over spinach salad. Mix well.
Burgundy Trifle Early in the day, split a pound cake loaf horizontally. Pour heated Brimstone Originals® Burgundy Wine over top of entire bottom half of loaf. Replace top half of cake, wrap in cellophane, and store in frig., allowing enough time for jelly to soak into cake. To serve, cut ½” to 1” slices and lay on plate. Drizzle heated Brimstone Originals® Burgundy Wine over each slice and top with shaved chocolate.
Walnut Belgian Waffles with Burgundy Wine Syrup Add desired amount of walnut pieces to waffle batter before pouring onto waffle iron. Spread cream cheese on each cooked waffle. Pour heated Brimstone Originals® Burgundy Wine over each waffle and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
Pineapple Pepper Jelly Recipes:
Pineapple Pepper and White Wine Glazed Shrimp In large saute’ pan, melt ½ cup butter. Add 1 Tbsp. minced garlic and saute’ for 1 minute. Add 2 – 3 lbs. fully cooked shrimp. Saute’ for 3 minutes, making sure each shrimp is fully coated. Add 1 to 1-1/2 cups white wine and stir well, being careful not to break shrimp. Heat 1 jar Brimstone Originals® Pineapple Pepper Jelly in saucepan or in microwave until melted and pour over shrimp. Stir again, making sure each shrimp is fully coated. Serve.
Pineapple Horsey Sauce Stir 1 tsp. creamy horseradish into 1 cup Brimstone Originals® Pineapple Pepper Jelly. Mix well. Serve cold or warmed in microwave as a sauce over poultry and baked fish.
Steam desired amount of basmati rice. Add chunks of chicken, pork, or shrimp and a medley of steamed vegetables. Stir in enough Brimstone Originals® Pineapple Pepper Jelly to season well. Add additional pineapple juice for desired consistency.
Cranberry Jalapeno Pepper Jelly Recipes:
Spicy Couscous Cranberry Salad Roast 2/3 cup chopped walnuts. Prepare couscous for four servings. Add 1 T. curry and 3 T. olive oil. Set aside. Chop about 2 T. each of scallions and parsley. When couscous is ready, mix ½ cup Brimstone Originals® Cranberry Pepper with all other ingredients. Squeeze juice from 1 orange and ½ lemon. Mix well with other ingredients and serve over a bed of Romaine.
Zesty Cranberry Pepper Sauce Combine approx. 1 cup Brimstone Originals® Cranberry Pepper with 1 tsp. orange zest, 3 T. orange juice, ½ tsp. coriander. Heat and serve over turkey, ham, or duck. Delicious as a topping on chicken, stuffing, steamed rice, and steamed vegetables.
Turkey Sandwich with a Zip! Spread generous layer of Brimstone Originals® Cranberry Pepper on one slice of whole grain bread of choice and a generous layer of mayonnaise on second slice. Spread layer of prepared stuffing on one of the two slices and top with roast turkey. Place other slice of bread on top for a delicious sandwich.
Marinated Red Wine and Cranberry Pepper Meatballs Pour 4 lbs. pre-cooked meatballs (thawed) into a large crockpot or kettle. Add wine and simmer on low for about 2 hours or until meatballs are thoroughly heated and most of wine has been absorbed. Drain off remaining wine. Heat 1 jar Brimstone Originals® Cranberry Pepper Jelly in saucepan or in microwave until melted and pour over meatballs. Stir carefully, making sure each meatball is completely coated without breaking them. Serve.
Cranberry Horsey Sauce Stir 1 tsp. creamy horseradish into 1 cup Brimstone Originals® Cranberry Jalapeno Pepper Jelly. Mix well. Serve cold or warmed in microwave as a sauce over pork tenderloin and prime rib.
Jalapeno Pepper Jelly Recipes
Orange Ginger Pork Chops With Roast Vegetables Sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides. Brown both sides in a Tbsp. of olive oil. Mix 1 cup of orange juice with 1 tsp. ground ginger and 3 Tbsp. Brimstone Originals® Jalapeno Pepper. Pour over pork chops and stew for ½ hour. Meanwhile, roast cabbage wedges, onions, and carrots in oven. To serve, spoon sauce from pork chops over vegetables.
Tangy Sweet and Sour Pork Saute’ one large garlic clove in 1 Tbsp. olive oil. Brown approx. ½ lb. uncooked pork cut into bite-size chunks. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add large chunks of 1 yellow sweet pepper, 1 red sweet pepper, and 1 large onion. Saute’ until vegetables are of desired crispiness. Drain one 15-oz. can pineapple chunks (in natural juice), reserving juice. Stir pineapple chunks into pork and vegetable mixture and heat well. Heat one jar Brimstone Originals® Jalapeno pepper. Pour over pork and vegetables and mix well. Serve over hot Basmati rice, prepared with reserved pineapple juice mixed with water.
Stir-Fried Egg Roll Saute’ 2-3 cups finely shredded cabbage and 1 cup diced celery in 1 Tbsp. olive oil for approx. 5 minutes or until vegetables are cooked to desired crispness. Add 2 cups either diced cooked chicken or whole steamed shrimp. Mix well. Add 3 cups cooked Basmati rice and stir. Pour heated Brimstone Originals® Jalapeno Pepper over each serving.
Spicy Mustard Stir ½ tsp. yellow mustard into one cup Brimstone Originals® Medium Pepper. Mix well. Use as a spread on ham sandwiches, heat as a sauce over ham, pork, or chicken, and use as a glaze on ham or pork. Great as a grilling sauce as well.
Habanero Pepper Jelly Recipes
Blue Cheese Pepper Spread Mix 1 Tbsp. blue cheese crumbles with Brimstone Originals® Hot Pepper. Use as a spread on ham, roast beef, or turkey sandwiches.
Roll-Ups Layer and then roll thin slices of Swiss cheese, turkey, ham, roast beef, or other choices of meat. Spoon Brimstone Originals® Medium or Hot Pepper onto each mouthful!
Fondue Heat any Brimstone Originals® Gourmet Solutions in a fondue pot and dip your favorite chunks of cooked meat, fish, cheese, fruits, and desserts.
Thai Peanut Sauce Pour ½ cup olive oil in saucepan. Add 1Tbsp.minced garlic. Saute’ on medium heat about 30 seconds. Stir in 1-1/2 cups chunky peanut butter. Continue heating and stirring until peanut butter is melted and mixed well with garlic and olive oil. Add 2 Tbsp. soy sauce and 1 tsp. powdered ginger. Mix well. If sauce is too thick, add water or chicken broth to desired consistency. Just before serving, add 1 to 2 Tbsp. Brimstone Originals® Hot Pepper Jelly (or more if desired!). Wonderful as a sauce over grilled chicken and Basmati rice!
